Stile Antico comes to Knoxville with Polyphonic Postcards: Music from Europe’s Greatest Renaissance Cities—a musical journey through the flourishing cultural centers of Renaissance Europe, from papal Rome and the wealthy cities of the Low Countries to the great ports of Lisbon and Seville.
Through extraordinary polyphony, the program offers a fascinating glimpse into the music, politics, wealth, and culture that shaped Europe at the height of the Renaissance.
